  • 40G of hazelnuts a day have been shown to lower blood cholesterol and triglycerides and increase the ‘good’ HDL cholesterol
  • hazelnuts contain:
  • short chain plant omega-3 alpha linolenic acid ALA- which        have heart health properties
  • B Group Vitamins including folate and Vitamin B6. A 30g serve contains 17% of the RDI for folate
  • plant protein– (15g per 100g serving) particularly the amino acid- arginine- which is converted to nitric oxide in the body which helps blood vessels to dilate and remain elastic

hazelnuts are rich in antioxidants and phytochemicals
